Brandon's Broken Foot/Toe

On Monday Brandon stubbed his foot on the couch and for days he has been telling us that it hurts and that he cannot wear his shoes. Last night he could not handle the pain any longer. He had an emotional meltdown. One thing is with Brandon's Autism he handles pain differently. What happens is he will be really really fuzzy and gets irritated with anything and cries and cries. Well he started yesterday morning with the day crying. Came home from school crying. By the time he went to bed he was crying about his tooth brush. We sat down with him and comfort him but we would ask him what was wrong and he would say "I don't know", I first thought that he has an ear infection, when his ears are infected it is exactly how he acts. As I was laying with him last night it came to me like a ton of bricks, His FOOT. We decided that we would get up today and take him to the Doctors, well the doctor sent us to the hospital and Surprise it is broken right where his pinky toe meets the foot bone, including the growth plate. We have to follow up on Monday to see how it is healing, if it is not healing, we will have to go see his orthopedic doctor at Primary Children's. Let's Pray that it heals quickly and the way it is supposed to. He seems to be doing well now that it is supported.

Our Neighborhood Halloween Party

We went to an awesome Halloween Party tonight. The kids had a wonderful time. I only got one picture, sorry the camera battery died. Brandon has had an emotional today. Hopefully he is not getting sick.

Pumpkin Carving

We decided this year that we would not make jack o lanterns that we would make "COOL" Pumpkins. Justin decided to do Lighting McQueen, Brandon made Sponge Bob and Baylee did Cinderella. They were hard and the kids couldn't do alot of the work. But they turned out so cute.

Last night we went to Jetblue's Trunk or Treat. It was the first year that we have really enjoyed Trunk or Treat. Last year it was cold, raining and snowing and I was eight months preggo. They are building a parking structure and a couple of levels are done and it is awesome. We loved it!! We couldnt have asked for a better day. Baylee fell asleep before we got there but woke up about half way through it. The kids enjoyed it. They had about 1500 kids attend. WOW!!!! We took our friends next door Jessi and Chase. They had never been to a trunk or treat, they enjoyed it as well.

Justin's Evel Knievel History Project

Justin had to do a history project for school and of course he had chosen Evel Knievel and he has worked so hard and has learned so much more, which we thought that he knew everything. In his project he had to make a display board containing facts and pictures of his life. We were so amazed that he could remember dates (month, date and the year), me on the other hand could only remeber the day he died because it was the day that Baylee was born and remember breaking the bad news to him while we were walking in the halls of the hospital when I was in labor. WHEW!!!! Then he had to dress up as him and have a button, we forgot to come up with a button and believe it Jake came up with the best button the night before it was due, it was supposed to be nothing fancy but Jake went all out, he designed this button that actually had an on and off switch and it really rang. When we dropped Justin off for school that day he whipped it out of his backpack and was showing all his friends. It does Jake good when his kids are so proud of him and how he can come up with some great ideas in a moments notice. Then he had to pretend that he was in a wax museum and parents, teachers, classmates would go around and push the button and they would have to say a fact about them. They had to memorize 12 facts, I had no idea that a second grader could memorize that much! WHEW!!! We are so proud of you Justin. You worked so hard and did a lot of research. Thanks to everyone that helped with his costume. He Loved it!!! In fact he didn't take it off until the next day. (I forgot to take a picture with him sleeping in it)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!! HUH????

It started snowing today! We are really not ready for winter. We can only find Justin's coat and Brandon's is nowhere to be found. Great!!! Baylee sure enjoyed staring out the window wondering what on earth is going on? We are ready to see how she reacts when she is actually playing in it. We will wait until there is plenty of it before we send her out there. We think that it is already going to be a long winter. We will have to see!!

Justin lost his tooth

Justin has not been able to lose any of his teeth on his own. We have had to take him to the dentist for two of his teeth already. His permenant teeth grow in so fast behind the baby teeth and they never become loose. About one month ago his top teeth became loose and we were so excited, But then we noticed that the new tooth had come in from behind and was making the baby tooth stick out. So Jake and I decided last night that we were going to wiggle this tooth so loose that it would come out. Justin was so brave. He laid there and let us pull it out. Now mind you when we had to go to the dentist last month even with gas he was freaking out in the dentist chair. Justin is a very strong kid and he was bound and determined that the dentist was going to make his money that day. Now we are on a quest to get the second top tooth out without the dentist help and hopefully without mom and dad's help. The tooth fairy came last night and brought him some gum and two dollor coins,
We are so proud of you Justin, You are so Brave!!!

What's Up?????

Our friend Jessi came over tonight and had dinner with us. Baylee really enjoys when Jessi is over and plays with her. We carpool with Jessi and her brother Chase to and from school and Baylee loves Jessi so much that she cries when Jessi leaves the car, will tonight Baylee would not let Jessi leave to go home. I other the other hand got a lot of things done. Jessi is awesome with Baylee. They have grown such a great friendship. I got some cute pictures of Baylee playing with her and then we thought that it would be funny to put my bandana on her head. Thanks Jessi for spending time with Baylee tonight. She loves you!!!
